|Wunderlich Securities Adds to Equity Capital Markets and Private Client Group|
Ted Cashion, Burton Milnor and Scott Poore to the Private Client Group and Matt Hayden, William Kitchens, and Jason Wangler to Equity Capital Markets. “We continue to focus on the development of our Private Client Group and Equity Capital Markets businesses and are extremely pleased to have attracted these seasoned professionals,” said Gary Wunderlich. Over the past two years, Wunderlich Securities has experienced extraordinary growth, particularly in Equity Capital Markets. With these hires, the ECM division, founded in late 2008, today has 18 senior analysts covering approximately 210 companies in five industry verticals. The ECM sales force has grown to 23 senior salespersons, 10 traders/sales traders, and 19 senior investment bankers.
Mr. Cashion, AWMA® joined the Firm's Memphis Branch as its Branch Manager. For more than 15 years Ted served as Managing Director and financial advisor at Morgan Keegan. Burton Milnor joins Wunderlich’s Private Client Group as an Investment Advisor after 31 years at Morgan Keegan. For the past 20 years, he has been an advisor to the retail brokers in the Morgan Keegan Private Client Group. Mr. Poore comes from Morgan Keegan where he served as the Manager of Institutional and High Net Worth services in the Institutional Consulting Group. He specializes in the delivery of investment management consulting process.
Matt Hayden, Vice President joins Wunderlich Securities from Morgan Keegan’s investment banking group. During his tenure with Morgan Keegan, he specialized in M&A and capital raising transactions in the industrial and transportation sectors. Prior to Morgan Keegan, Matt was an associate with Ernst & Young. William Kitchens, Senior Vice President, joins Institutional Equity Sales at Wunderlich Securities in its Memphis headquarters. Mr. Kitchens was with Morgan Keegan for thirty years in its Institutional Equity Markets department. Most recently he was Managing Director, Head of Institutional Sales Trading and Co-Manager of Trading. Jason Wangler, Senior Vice President and Equity Analyst, has over six years of equity research experience focused on the exploration and production (E&P) and oilfield services (OFS) sectors of the energy space. Jason previously worked at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Dahlman Rose & Company before moving to Wunderlich Securities. His resume also includes Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. as a Petroleum Analyst. In 2010 he was highlighted as a “Best on the Street” analyst by the Wall Street Journal and has been a guest on CNBC.
