Fundamental Capital Markets was formed in 2004 as the Institutional Fixed Income division of Wunderlich Securities, a full-service regional brokerage firm based in Memphis, TN. 

The founders of the division set out to gather together the broad experience of Wall Street into a new type of firm - one centered on the needs of the clients rather than the needs of the proprietary trading desk.

That firm is Fundamental Capital Markets.
